What I’m trying really hard to do right now. I promised myself I wouldn’t let this project die, and I won’t. Sometimes it feels like I don’t have time but the truth is I do have time if I want to, I just need to commit and stay focused.

In other news… It’s been an interesting start of the year so far. If 2012 was a year of changes, 2013 will definitely surpass it. So many new things. So many new experiences. I feel excited, and obviously a little scared too, but in the end I know it’s going to be a fucking amazing year.

I usually don’t feel excited about my birthday, but this was surely one of the best ones I’ve ever had… I need to remember more often how blessed I am for having such amazing and special family and friends in my life. I will never find a way to thank them enough for just being there, being a part of me.

Thank you life for this excellent day.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling twenty-two! 

I promised myself I would not let too much time pass between posts because I didn’t want to leave the blog abandoned. Anyway, these past few weeks have been kind of crazy, a lot of stuff has happened and is still happening and I’m trying to make the best out of it. 

I can’t wait for school to be over already. Even though I’m taking only four classes this semester and three of them are relatively easy I’m getting tired of the whole thing. Same story with my current job, I love working around those people but now I feel like I’ve had enough. I’m so glad that this cycle in my life is coming to an end. I really don’t know what the future holds for me, I’m not in a good place right now but still I know I’ve been trough much worse, so I’m just hoping for the best. I have new projects ahead of me and I’m really excited about it. For now I will try to focus in surviving and let everything else fall slowly into place.

Oh, and by the way, fuck money issues.

Hello, iOS 6.

I decided that I want to write a brief review of every new book I finish from now on, so this is my first one.

The Scribes Circle was written by french author Romain Sardou. I think that a book should be read in its original language whenever possible, because in my opinion that’s the way you get the most authentic experience. Anyway, since my French skills are not enough to read an entire novel, I had to read it in Spanish. 

The first complaint I have is that the title translation is totally inaccurate and has nothing to do with the book’s main plot, so you kind of end up waiting for a piece of story that never really shows up. My second complaint has to do with the way some parts of the story are written, they feel a little slow paced and can make the plot feel monotonous at times.

Despite this, I can say I enjoyed reading the novel, it has all the elements of my favorite kind of books (I love thrillers, mystery, suspense…) so you feel absorbed by the narration and also get this urge to keep reading and see what will happen next. Finally, the ending was very different and unexpected, this is not a fair nor happy ending, so if you don’t like those you might feel a bit disappointed but I think in this case this is one of the main elements that make this book special. Sardou did a great job and I will definitely consider reading something from his other works.

As you can see from the first entry, this blog was supposed to be written in Spanish and I was going to focus only in community management topics, but since I change my mind every two seconds, I decided to give it a different spin and see how it turns out. It’s been a long time since I started my first blog and  I kind of miss the feeling. Sometimes you just have too many things in your head and you need a place to let it all out.

That’s why I like blogs. They’re like pensieves for muggles.
